About/Process

This series demonstrates identity. Each painting demonstrates a person who shares where they are from. In these pieces, they show vulnerability, love, truth, and identity. The series built a personal relationship between the art and the artist. The artist selected and collaborated with her friends who are from different countries to participate in her series. The artist takes portrait photos of them and asked them to select a photo that reminds them of home. There she edits and combines the portrait and landscape photos into one. The artist then paints (acrylic) the final results, which is what you see below.
